In plain English

What this trial is testing

This study is testing MRI (a radiation) to see if it can prevent disease or complications. Condition(s) listed: Crohn Disease, Calprotectin and MRI.

Participants are assigned to groups by chance (randomized).

It is open-label: participants know what they are receiving.

This study does not use drug-development phases (it may test a device, diet, procedure, app, or care approach).

Who can join

Some of the main requirements, copied from the record:

Plus 3 more requirement(s). There are also 10 reasons someone might not be able to join (exclusion criteria). Only the trial team can confirm whether you qualify.

What's involved

Main thing being measured

In the researchers’ words

Crohn's disease (CD) is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that can dramatically affect the quality of life of patients. Due to its transmural nature (involvement of the entire thickness of the intestinal wall), it naturally progresses to intestinal destruction (stenosis, fistula) which requires intestinal resection in approximately half of patients during their follow-up.

This is a short automatic summary built from the official record. A fuller plain-English card is coming; until then, please read the official record.
