In plain English
What this trial is testing
Condition(s) listed: Peripheral Vascular Access in Pediatric Patients, Peptic Ulcer and Cataract. This is an observational study: researchers collect information (for example questionnaires, samples, or scans) but the study does not assign a treatment.
Who can join
- Ages 0 Days to 18 Days
- Any sex
Some of the main requirements, copied from the record:
- Pediatric patients aged 0-18 years scheduled for day-case surgery or non-operating room anesthesia (NORA)
- Patients requiring peripheral vascular access (those with a need for intravenous access)
- Patients whose parent or legal guardian can provide written informed consent
Plus 1 more requirement(s). There are also 3 reasons someone might not be able to join (exclusion criteria). Only the trial team can confirm whether you qualify.
What's involved
- About 500 participants are expected to take part.
- Start date: 2025-12-01 (planned).
- Main results expected around 2027-12-01 (estimate from the record).
- 6 study sites listed in Turkey (Türkiye).
Main thing being measured
- The time to establish peripheral vascular access (pre-intervention/procedure/surgery)
In the researchers’ words
The study was designed as a prospective, observational study. Pediatric patients under 18 years of age scheduled for peripheral vascular access placement during day-case surgery or non-operating room anesthesia (NORA) will be included.

Questions to ask your doctor and the trial team
- Am I likely to qualify, given my health history?
- What would I have to do, and how often would I need to visit?
- Could I get a placebo? What happens to my current treatment?
- What are the possible risks and benefits?
- Are travel or other costs covered?
- What happens after the trial ends?
