In plain English
What this trial is testing
This study is testing MRI (a procedure) to improve how care is delivered. Condition(s) listed: Crohn Disease (CD).
It is single-blind: participants do not know which group they are in.
This study does not use drug-development phases (it may test a device, diet, procedure, app, or care approach).
Who can join
- Age range not stated in the record
- Any sex
Some of the main requirements, copied from the record:
- Patients with Crohn's disease according to European recommendations (ECCO) ≥ 18 years of age
- With known or suspected ileal ± colonic involvement
- Requiring reassessment of disease inflammatory activity according to the clinician
Plus 3 more requirement(s). There are also 11 reasons someone might not be able to join (exclusion criteria). Only the trial team can confirm whether you qualify.
What's involved
- About 60 participants are expected to take part.
- Start date: 2026-04-22.
- Main results expected around 2026-09 (estimate from the record).
- 2 study sites listed (1 marked recruiting) in France.
Main thing being measured
- Modified Clermont score (C-Score) (From enrollement to the end of the follow up at 7th day)
In the researchers’ words
Crohn's disease (CD) is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that can significantly impair patients' quality of life. Due to its transmural nature (affecting the entire thickness of the intestinal wall), it naturally progresses to intestinal destruction (stenosis, fistula), requiring intestinal resection in approximately half of patients during follow-up.
This is a short automatic summary built from the official record. A fuller plain-English card is coming; until then, please read the official record.
Questions to ask your doctor and the trial team
- Am I likely to qualify, given my health history?
- What would I have to do, and how often would I need to visit?
- Could I get a placebo? What happens to my current treatment?
- What are the possible risks and benefits?
- Are travel or other costs covered?
- What happens after the trial ends?

Interventions
- MRI (Procedure)
All patients included in the study will undergo an MRI without contrast medium in order to compare the inflammatory damage visible on an MRI with contrast agent.
